Hollywood in riviera: chronicle of movie stars in images

Opening to the public on Thursday, May 30, at the Exhibition Gallery on the second floor of the Galata Museo del Mare, is the exhibition “Hollywood in Riviera. Cronaca delle star del cinema nelle immagini dell’archivio Fotografico Francesco Leoni” (Hollywood on the Riviera. Chronicle of movie stars in images from the archivio Fotografico Francesco Leoni). Thanks to a selection of rare and unpublished photographs, which came to light in seven months of study and research on the archivio Fotografico Francesco Leoni, and an immersive and engaging layout, the “Hollywood in Riviera” exhibition transports visitors to a golden age when Liguria was a favorite destination for celebrities seeking relaxation and entertainment. Backstage footage of films shot in Genoa and Liguria highlight the lives of actors while acting, with a glimpse into the life of the places.

Organized by the Paolo and Giuliana Clerici Foundation with the collaboration of Istituzione Mu.MA, the exhibition, which boasts the patronage of Rai and Regione Liguria, is produced in collaboration with the National Museum of Cinema in Turin, Genova Liguria Film Commission and Riviera International Film Festival.
