Rete Fotografia Archivi Aperti 2025

On October 22, the Francesco Leoni Photographic Archive took part in the Archivi Aperti initiative promoted by Rete Fotografia, opening its doors to 53 visitors to showcase its documentary heritage.
Three guided tours were organized between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

During the visits, Anna Dentoni, Paola Leoni, and Daniela Ronzitti presented to participants: the figure of Francesco Leoni and the history of the Archive, the organizational system based on chronological agendas (1936–1996) and thematic index cards, and the potential of a collection comprising over 4 million photographic shots.

The initiative was very well received by the public, who appreciated the opportunity to learn more about this important iconographic heritage.
